Excellent guide for the beginner to clays. It won't teach you how to dust then, but at least you will know the basics before you turn up at the ground.

Good advice to be taken away and great illustrations to aid in descriptions. Time will tell if they work as they say they will. The veteran may be able to take some things away. Worth a read for anyone new to clay pigeon shooting. I will be re- reading I expect as I progress to instil the techniques shown.

Ordered from John King himself, he emailed me within minutes to say when the book would arrive. I received a signed copy the next day, less than 24 hours after ordering it! Amazing, 5 star service! Having read the reviews here and in Shooting magazines I am sure I will be pleased with the contents!

What a great E-Book (Kindle for iPad) it was a couple of Pounds cheaper than the iTunes e-book. I am more than half way through reading it & totally motivated to taking up the sport seriously, probably going to buy the DVD that accompanies the Spot On! E-book.

This answered all my questions as a novice gun and gave me a good understanding of what was going on around me. The lesson format is great. Although several years old the book is very valid today. A must for new shooters.

This book is excellent for the novice, I would prefer if there were more pictures, by the illustrations are excellent in showing the positions of the clays from pickup to kill ...

This book is terrible, it's written poorly and has the most basic of information in it. It's also in the largest of fonts, written in a proper sized font this book would be a third of the size, infact I have been considering wether it's been written for children that have started shooting.. I made the mistake of just looking at the ratings and not actually reading the reviews, if I'd have read them I'd have realised most people giving five stars have all received free signed copy's from "John" and in return probably given him a nice review. I have returned this book as it is sooo bad and have purchased "breaking clays" by chris bartha which is an absolutely fantastic book. Not only is it suitable for beginners but it will take a beginner through to learning enough technique to take on a full clay shoot, and is loaded full of good information

For me there was too much info on British gun laws. I think it was a boring read. Maybe it works for you.
